Between April 2022 to Feb 2023, 421 permanent employees at Shapiro Shaik Defries and Associates (SSDA), a leading collections and recoveries BPO, were put through their paces in various training and skills development programmes. In total, 4256 training opportunities were taken up by 421 employees to further develop their skills and competencies, and enhance their career progression within the business.
It’s this exceptional commitment to entrenching a culture of lifelong learning as well as shaping and growing the careers of young South Africans that saw SSDA recently presented an award by the Finance and Accounting Services Sector Education and Training Authority (FASSET) for its commitment to skills development for its employees. SSDA received an award in the category of “Lifelong Learning Interventions” and was recognised for prioritising a stakeholder-centred approach to skills development.
